Job Overview:
Position Summary:
The Mortgage Loan Post Closer-Delivery Specialist is responsible for providing essential clerical support within the mortgage division. This role involves the assembly, preparation, and thorough review of closing documentation. The specialist will also be tasked with auditing and dispatching completed loan packages to investors in accordance with established delivery protocols and checklists.
Maintaining a positive demeanor and conducting business in a professional manner is crucial. The specialist ensures that all members, staff, and visitors are treated with respect and consideration while striving to meet the production standards set by USF Federal Credit Union.
Key Responsibilities:
- 30%: Conduct audits on each loan to verify that all necessary documents are present for compliance and accuracy. Compile the appropriate documentation required for investor delivery and secure any needed signatures to finalize the sale.
- 30%: Utilize Agency loan delivery platforms (FHLMC, FNMA) to upload XML files, review reports, and adhere to investor deadlines. Provide any additional documentation requested by the investor post-sale.
- 10%: Gather missing information, prepare files for the servicing department, and offer support to both internal and external clients. Follow up on loan packages to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- 10%: Ensure the receipt and imaging of recorded mortgages and final title policies. Record liens and any other necessary documents to secure the Credit Union's lien position.
- 10%: Update the Loan Origination System (LOS) with investor information.
- 5%: Provide support to other mortgage department personnel, including mortgage loan originators, closers, and loan processors.
- 5%: Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Education:
A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
Experience:
1-3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Other Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is essential. Experience with Automated Loan Origination Systems is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with a high level of organizational and analytical abilities. The ability to multitask effectively is crucial.
Knowledge of CFPB Regulations, including TRID, the Bank Secrecy Act, and other federal laws such as the U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act is required.
