Job Title: Medical Donor Suitability Specialist

At CSL Plasma, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Donor Suitability Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for evaluating donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate donor suitability for plasma donation procedures
  • Provide emergency medical care to donors and staff, including administering medication or treatments as needed
  • Conduct medical history reviews and interviews with donors to determine suitability for donation
  • Collaborate with the Center Medical Director to respond to medically related questions and provide information on donor suitability
  • Review test results and determine continued donor suitability, assessing donor symptoms that may impact donation
  • Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results, referring them to community facilities for follow-up and counseling as needed
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic medical training program
  • Current licensure or certification as a physician or emergency medical technician, if applicable
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a healthcare environment
  • Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment is preferred
