Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join their team in Tucson, Arizona.

Job Description

As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for taking high-quality radiologic films to aid physicians in diagnosing medical problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for x-rays, selecting exposure factors accurately.
  • Administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Observe patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity.
  • Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Prevent patients from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
  • Verify the accuracy of ordered exams by comparing to written physician orders.
  • Verify correct patient identity using two forms of verification prior to injecting or starting an exam.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality per established CHN policies regarding HIPAA rights and practices.
  • Maintain proper oxygen therapy for patients requiring oxygen.
  • Adjust the rate of O2 flow with mask/nasal canula according to written physician orders.
  • Secure and safely transport e-cylinders.
  • Access electronic patient health records via current systems.
  • Input and process requisitions.
  • Input all relevant information and provide film/imaging history to physicians, as appropriate.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following education, license/certifications, and experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited radiology program.
  • ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) and AZ Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE)- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
  • The experience acquired during radiology program and student clinical training.
