Responsibilities
Up to $10K Bonus Based on Eligibility

As a Radiology Technologist at Tenet-AZ Region, you will be responsible for taking radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. You will also be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for x-rays and selecting exposure factors accurately. Additionally, you will prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. You will observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity. You will also monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted. You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. You will prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. You will check for accuracy of ordered exams by comparing to written physician order. You will verify correct patient by two forms of identity verification, prior to injecting patient or starting exam. You will maintain patient confidentiality per established CHN policies regarding HIPAA rights and practices. You will maintain proper oxygen therapy on patients who require oxygen. You will maintain skills required to change oxygen tanks. You will be able to use masks and nasal canula. You will adjust rate of O2 flow with mask/nasal canula according to written physician orders. You will secure and safely transport e-cylinders. You will access electronic patient health record via current system. You will input and process requisitions. You will input all relevant information and provide film/imaging history to physician, as appropriate. You will also be responsible for operating room tasks, including manipulating/operating all C-arms, troubleshooting errors with equipment, performing sterile technique while operating C-arm, assisting circulating RN as needed, printing films from C-arm when needed, archiving images to PACS from C-arm, setting-up C-arm with all patient information, positioning C-arm to the surgeons specifications, and locating/documents patient dose.

THE RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

EDUCATION

Required: Graduate of an accredited radiology program.

CERTIFICATION

Required: ARRT- R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) and AZ Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE)- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required: The experience acquired during radiology program and student clinical training.
