Job Overview:

The Construction Project Coordinator will manage project activities at the designated office or construction site, ensuring project goals are met through effective planning, scheduling, and execution of tasks until completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Engage actively in the safety initiatives of assigned projects.
  • Oversee projects from initiation to completion.
  • Examine contract terms, project scope, and special provisions, ensuring all team members are informed.
  • Obtain quotes for materials, subcontractors, and engineering services from multiple vendors.
  • Assist in vendor selection and coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of construction systems and their relevance to the building process.
  • Develop and manage construction project timelines.
  • Support and visit job sites, conducting necessary meetings.
  • Evaluate change requests and update project budgets accordingly.
  • Prepare and review weekly production reports.
  • Analyze weekly job cost reports with the project Foreman and team.
  • Manage billing processes and approve invoices for payment.
  • Monitor project progress and expenditures, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Create and implement job schedules, collaborating with field supervisors and foremen to address issues effectively.
  • Conduct labor management on assigned projects, optimizing for profitability.
  • Coordinate warranties, operations and maintenance documentation, and project closeout procedures.
  • Ensure accountability for job cost control through monthly financial projections.
  • Provide leadership to the project team throughout the construction process.
Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Construction Project Management.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience in estimating, project management, and overseeing specialized construction scopes.
  • Ability to analyze critical project information and mitigate risks for successful outcomes.
  • Proficient in interpreting specifications and drawings.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff, and QuickBid. Familiarity with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Capability to multitask, think critically, and solve problems.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills in technical aspects of the job.
  • Independent decision-making and follow-through on assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in English for interpreting construction documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in the drywall industry.
  • Local candidates are preferred.
