Nurse Leader

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Charge Nurse to join our team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of a particular shift and directing, organizing, and assigning work to the employees. You will ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and utilization of staff. Additionally, you will serve as an expert EPIC Super User, assess, monitor, and support employees throughout the shift, and facilitate direct patient care through coaching, delegation, and service recovery. You will also provide direct patient care as needed, engage in the workplace community, and ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities:
Coordinate the activities of a particular shift and direct, organize, and assign work to the employees.
Ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and utilization of staff.

Qualifications:
BSN required.
Current Ohio Nursing License, required.
2 years nursing experience, preferred.
Work Environment:
This role requires occasional climbing of stairs/ladders, reaching over shoulder, lifting/carrying greater than 100 lbs with assistance, pushing/pulling greater than 100 lbs may need assistance, exposure to fumes/gases/vapors, exposure to biohazard waste, usage of machinery, usage of power tools, use of electricity, exposure to loud noises, working outdoors, exposure to hot/cold temperatures. Frequent bending/twisting, squatting/kneeling, standing, walking, sitting, flexing/extending of neck, hand use: grasping, gripping/turning, driving, lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 40 lbs, exposure to blood and/or bodily fluids, exposure to communicable diseases and/or pathogens, exposure to medications/chemicals, usage of patient equipment. Continuous repetitive hand/arm usage, computer skills, audible speech, hearing acuity, depth perception-vision, color vision, peripheral vision, seeing far/near, problem solving skills, decision making skills, interpreting data skills.
