Key Responsibilities for the Housekeeper/Maintenance Role:

  • Maintain cleanliness in lobbies, staircases, rooms, and restrooms
  • Daily removal of trash from rooms and offices
  • Vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping of floors
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and restroom essentials
  • Address any spills or accidents on campus promptly
  • Dust furniture, walls, and fixtures as needed
  • Wash windows to ensure a clean environment

Requirements:

The Children's Home of Kingston also operates the Grove St Academy, a NYSED Certified 853 special education school located on the same campus. This institution offers essential educational services for both day and residential students aged 8-21, covering grades 4 through 12. Grove St Academy focuses on small classroom settings and employs project-based learning both on campus and within the community.

Utilizing a Trauma System Therapy approach, we provide students and their families with a robust support system and interventions that are often unavailable in public education settings.
