Nurse Practitioner in Maternity Care

As a Perinatal Nurse Specialist at CHRISTUS Health, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families in the Labor and Delivery department.
About the Role:
- This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- The ideal candidate will have current certifications in NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or one of the AWHONN courses mentioned earlier.
- A Current ACLS certification is also required within 30 days of hire for experienced nurses.
- The salary for this role is approximately $93,000 per year, based on national averages for a Labor and Delivery RN in the United States.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities- Assesses and documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
- Develops and implements individualized plans of care using evidence-based practice.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare-related laws and regulations.
- Participates in quality improvement activities and contributes to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
