About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technician to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing quality patient care in a patient-focused, technically appropriate, and cost-effective manner.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field, a safe patient care environment, and appropriate supplies/equipment as required for the operative procedure.
  • Function as a cooperative healthcare team member in a critical care environment, treating patients with dignity and respect.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through self-direction, completing assignments/projects, and participating in unit/hospital committees and projects.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide a cooperative work environment, sharing clinical and professional knowledge in a supportive/educational manner.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, maintaining patient confidentiality and utilizing guest relation techniques with members of the healthcare team and patients.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Completion of CST program
  • Certification as a Surgical Technician
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to independently perform scrub duties
Working Conditions

May be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening disease and radiation. Ability to perform heavy lifting, cooperate and work well with others, communicate with a mask on, and work in a fast-paced environment with established time constraints.
