About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the surgical field and supplies/instruments for procedures
  • Assist in emergency situations and maintain a safe work environment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide a cooperative work environment
  • Responsible for compliance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in unit/hospital committees and projects
Requirements
  • CST Certification approved by NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
  • 1-2 years OR scrub experience (preferred)
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Completion of ST program in an accredited school approved by NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. The position also requires the ability to work designated shifts, including weekends and holidays, and to assume on-call responsibility.
