Job Summary

The Production Supervisor - Hose is a key role within VSP Technologies, responsible for overseeing the company's Metal and Non-metal hose fabrication, assembly, inventory, receiving, and packaging processes. This position requires a strategic thinker who can coordinate and direct activities to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's hose business line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute plans to improve profitability, productivity, and efficiency in the hose business line.
  • Staff Management: Hire, develop, and direct assigned staff to ensure operational systems and procedures are continuously evaluated for proper operation, relevance, efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously investigate and introduce process improvement measures, presenting suggestions to the Operations Manager for consideration.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain, review, and adapt work procedures to foster a zero-tolerance quality policy consistent with VSP, customer, and market expectations.
  • Inventory Management: Provide packaging and inventory analysis, including forecasts, to manage related risks and opportunities.
  • Receiving and Adjusting: Complete the receiving and adjusting of components in Sage and perform daily inventory cycle counts.
  • Production Workflow: Ensure daily schedule efficiency of production workflow, including emergency orders.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Supervisory Functions: Perform all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage assigned personnel.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma
  • Experience: Extensive experience in welding, production, and manufacturing processes
  • Certifications: Advanced certifications in industrial and manufacturing processes (preferred)
  • Supervisory Experience: Supervisor experience in the manufacturing/distribution industry (preferred)
