Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Communications Consultant to support our Integrated Marketing (SCIM) practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content creation, committee management, video production, social media, and strategic communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to support internal and external campaigns
  • Create high-quality written materials, including communication plans, fact sheets, FAQs, website content, and talking points
  • Manage video production, including scripting, storyboarding, and post-production
  • Lead subject matter expert call programs, including promotion, attendance, and after-action reporting
  • Support team special event production activities
  • Develop and implement original ideas for reaching and engaging target audiences
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field
  • 3-6 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or public relations
  • Experience working for a federal government contractor, consulting organization, or national association
  • Excellent writing, conceptual, and copy-editing skills
  • Experience with traditional and nontraditional social marketing and communications strategies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting strategic communications efforts at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
