Position Overview:
The Facility Security Officer is responsible for a comprehensive range of security measures aimed at safeguarding sensitive and classified information pertinent to both the firm and government operations. This role ensures adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) security protocols and contributes to the development of effective solutions for various security challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage security operations within an active facility supporting government initiatives.
- Work independently while receiving guidance from the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO).
- Utilize knowledge of DoD security systems, including DISS and NISS, to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a security-related role.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with team members, government representatives, and various stakeholders.
- Possession of a Secret clearance and a Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with Title 32 of the Code of Federal Regulations (32 CFR), NISPOM, ICD, and other DoD security requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Excellent judgment, decision-making, and customer service skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
- Relevant certifications, including DCSA and CDSE certifications for Facility Security Officer Program Management.
Security Clearance:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
