Job Summary:
The City of Peoria, Arizona is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Park Ranger to join our team. As a Park Ranger, you will be responsible for preserving and respecting the natural habitat and physical facilities in our neighborhood parks, community parks, trails system, and for the programming and planning of education outdoor interpretive programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and provide front-line customer service to the public
- Enforce rules, regulations, and ordinances related to Parks and Recreation area usage
- Oversee part-time staff and volunteers
- Attain Basic Life Support (CPR) and First Aid certification within 6 months of hire
- Complete International Police Mountain Bike Association course or equivalent within one year of hire, depending on assignment
Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- 9-12 months of moderate previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
