Role Summary:

The Asset Protection team leverages cutting-edge technology and analytical tools to minimize losses and safeguard our company's financial health. The Visual Security Officer serves as an entry-level role within Asset Protection, primarily responsible for reporting suspicious activities to Asset Protection detectives and management, ensuring a secure shopping environment, and delivering excellent customer service. This position is mainly stationed at customer entry points, acting as a visual deterrent against theft.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcome customers as they enter the store or specific departments.

  • Utilize two-way communication devices to stay connected with Asset Protection Detectives and Management.
  • Remain stationed at high-traffic entrances and areas prone to theft to deter criminal activity and observe suspicious behavior.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies regarding apprehensions, searches, and evidence handling.
  • Manage proprietary, sensitive, and confidential information responsibly.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for the majority of the shift.
  • Visual acuity including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching above eye level.
  • Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 30 pounds.
