Job Title: Warehouse Operations Director

About the Job:
The Warehouse Operations Director plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing outbound operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely shipment of goods while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision:
    • Supervise and lead the outbound team, including pickers, packers, and loaders.
    • Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and monitor workflow.
    • Provide coaching and support to team members to achieve performance goals.
  • Outbound Operations Management:
    • Oversee daily outbound activities, ensuring accuracy and timely shipment of orders.
    • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., inventory, inbound, and customer service) to address any order issues or delays.
    • Monitor shipping schedules and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct regular checks to ensure all outbound shipments meet quality standards.
    • Verify proper packing, labeling, and documentation for all orders.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or damages in outbound shipments.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Enforce safety protocols and warehouse regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Ensure all team members follow company policies, OSHA guidelines, and other regulatory requirements.
    • Report and address any safety incidents or hazards promptly.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as shipping accuracy, order cycle time, and productivity rates.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance outbound operations.
    • Prepare and present daily, weekly, or monthly performance reports to management.
  • Equipment and Resource Management:
    • Ensure proper use and maintenance of outbound equipment, such as conveyors, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
    • Coordinate with maintenance teams to address any equipment issues.
    • Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.


Requirements:
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards (OSHA, DOT regulations, etc.)
  • Forklift certification is a plus

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
