Job Description

We are seeking experienced attorneys to join our Civil Rights, Tort, and Employment Litigation Team, Health and Hospitals Team, and other teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment litigation, healthcare law, or a related field, and a demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic public-sector litigation practice.

Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and representation to the County and its departments on a wide range of matters, including employment law, healthcare law, and tort law.
  • Defend the County in lawsuits filed against it, its officials, and/or its employees.
  • Develop expertise in the work of each department to provide advice and training on risk management issues.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to achieve the Office's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
  • Demonstrated history of hard work, dedication, and academic excellence.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several simultaneous projects under deadlines.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of any matter.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
