Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Financial Services Representative is instrumental in recognizing and addressing the financial requirements of Credit Union members. This role is pivotal in promoting a variety of products and services while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities encompass managing loan and deposit-related activities, resolving intricate member inquiries, and upholding a favorable image of the Credit Union.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Facilitates loan transactions and provides insights into Credit Union offerings.
- Addresses member concerns swiftly and effectively.
- Utilizes office equipment with precision and efficiency.
- Initiates new memberships and share accounts, encouraging the uptake of additional services.
- Possesses knowledge of GAP, MBI, and Debit Cancellation benefits, promoting and selling in accordance with Credit Union standards.
- Guides members in selecting suitable loan and deposit options.
- Conducts proactive outreach to assist in the processing of new loan and deposit products.
- Analyzes credit reports to uncover cross-selling prospects.
- Engages in coaching and developmental initiatives for branch personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of two years of experience in sales and cross-selling within a financial or retail environment.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
No specific certifications required.
Knowledge
Completion of core competencies certification is preferred.
Familiarity with consumer loans and Credit Union products is essential.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, is beneficial.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to operate various office equipment proficiently.
Willingness to travel for training and meetings as necessary.
