About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced District Sales Manager to join our team in Texas. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for representing Insteel Industries in selling wire products and servicing ongoing accounts. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing sales strategies that meet customer needs while achieving business plan objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement sales strategies that satisfy customer needs while achieving business plan objectives.
- Determine and negotiate customer requirements, including specifications, technical issues, quantities, pricing, and delivery.
- Meet periodically with customers to review the status of relationships and performance to customer expectations.
- Serve as a liaison on quality and technical issues and arrange visits/meetings between customer and company functions.
- Develop and present analysis of business trends, customer relations, competitor information, and other historical/forecasting data.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts, current, prospects, and competition.
- Prepare and submit call, itinerary, and expense reports on a weekly basis.
- Communicate with the sales team and other stakeholders to inform of all activity in the territory.
- Extensive professional, technical, or administrative training (bachelor's degree) preferred.
- Broad knowledge of marketing and sales, computer skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of the engineered structural mesh and/or prestressed concrete industries preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar industry or 3 years' field sales experience in a similar industry.
- Ability to travel 80-90% of the time.
- Highly competitive pay (base and incentives).
