Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Bronson Battle Creek General Medical Unit. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients under the supervision of the RN.
  • Collect and record patient data, including vital signs, food and fluid intake, and output.
  • Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
  • Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and walking.
  • Prepare and examine food trays for prescribed diets.
  • Collect samples from patients for testing.
  • Assist with delivery, care, and feeding of infants.
  • Assemble and use equipment such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen suppliers.
  • Inventory and requisition supplies.
  • Utilize computerized systems to acquire needed supplies and enter patient data.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and successful completion of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nursing.
  • Experience in a healthcare delivery setting preferred.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan.
  • BLS certification by the end of the core orientation period.
Work Environment

This role involves working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with high levels of mental and visual fatigue. You will be required to stand or walk for extended periods, lift light-weight objects, and assist with heavier tasks such as lifting and moving patients.
