The University of Alabama is seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Fellow to join our Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering Department. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will have the opportunity to conduct research in the general area of hydrology under the supervision of Dr. Mukesh Kumar.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in hydrology, focusing on the evaluation and development of next-generation (eco)hydrologic models.
- Produce novel scientific insights regarding hydrologic responses and their controls during climate extremes.
- Collaborate with the research team to achieve research objectives and hypotheses.
- Develop and implement simulation codes and conduct data analysis using modeling and data analytics techniques.
- Ph.D. or other terminal degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, hydrology, ecology, geosciences, computer science, applied mathematics, data analytics, or related fields.
- Completed Ph.D. or have it completed by the start of employment.
- Experience with numerical modeling and/or data analytics with big data.
- Broad knowledge of hydrology.
