Overview


Dignity Health Medical Group - North State is in search of an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) specializing in Colorectal Surgery to support our dynamic surgical team.

This role will primarily focus on outpatient clinic responsibilities with limited operating room involvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a skilled surgeon and healthcare team
  • Engage primarily in clinic activities with negotiable OR time based on candidate preference
  • Conduct patient rounds in the hospital
  • Manage post-operative follow-up in the clinic
  • Perform various in-clinic procedures
  • No weekend on-call duties; Monday to Friday schedule
  • Maintain 36 hours of patient-facing time each week

Responsibilities

Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis:
  • Conduct thorough health evaluations.
  • Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic examinations.

Treatment Planning and Management:
  • Formulate and execute patient care strategies.
  • Prescribe necessary medications and treatments.
  • Deliver education on health promotion and disease prevention.

Collaboration and Consultation:
  • Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals.
  • Consult with physicians and specialists as required.
  • Coordinate patient care across different healthcare settings.
Qualifications

Experience in colorectal care is advantageous, but a willingness to learn and a commitment to the region are essential.

A valid and unrestricted license to practice in California is required.

Nationally recognized certification (as determined by Medicare) is necessary.

Completion of state-mandated educational requirements is expected.

Compensation

$79.33 per hour
