We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Center Aide to join our team at Ross County Community Action Commission. As a Center Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
    • Ensure compliance with ODJFS Child Care Licensing, SUTQ, and Head Start Program and Performance Standards.
    • Complete a minimum of 15 hours of professional development annually.
  • Confidentiality and Reporting
    • Adhere to the program Confidentiality Policy/Statement.
    • Mandated reporter of Child Abuse and Neglect.
  • Childcare and Education
    • Assist with the implementation of the daily schedule, lesson plan, and care-giving routines.
    • Assist children with bathroom procedures; perform diapering duties as necessary.
    • Assist with meal preparation and clean-up, including sitting with children to model mealtime routines.
  • Health and Safety
    • Assist with the implementation of health, emergency procedures, and first aid.
    • Respond appropriately to crisis or emergency situations.
  • Classroom Environment
    • Assist the teacher in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly classroom environment.
  • Bus Monitor Duties
    • Perform bus monitor duties as assigned by the Site Administrator.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Experience working with infants/toddlers/preschool-age children and/or Infant/Toddler/Preschool CDA preferred, but not required.
  • Physical and Background Requirements
    • Complete pre-employment physical and drug screening.
    • Complete BCI and FBI background check.
    • Must be physically capable of working with young children, including the ability to lift, see, and hear children at all possible times.
    • Must be insurable under the agency's policy.
