Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee, organize, and lead the daily activities of job crew members.
- Provide guidance and support to employees, fostering motivation and discipline as necessary.
- Facilitate training for team members as required.
- Implement reward systems and manage employee assignments in line with company policies.
- Handle employee transfers, suspensions, layoffs, recalls, and disciplinary actions according to established procedures.
- Address grievances in accordance with company protocols.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, and contract scopes.
- Participate in coordination meetings and relay essential information.
- Track and document job progress using designated mobile applications.
- Provide accurate updates to the lead personnel through RFIs, memos, and other communication forms.
- Monitor and enhance the productivity of the crew as needed.
- Communicate company policies and procedures effectively to the job crew.
- Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes as required.
- Order necessary materials daily and ensure follow-up at the end of each workday.
- Manage tool control on the job site.
- Ensure the job site is cleaned and organized at the end of each workday.
- Adhere to all safety standards set by the company and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and approve employee work hours as necessary.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 10 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
- A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within an industrial setting.
- NCCER certification as an Industrial Electrician or a valid Electrician State License is advantageous.
- Ability to pass a DISA D/A test.
- Proven safe and proficient operation of equipment in diverse work environments.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, walking, climbing, bending, and leaning for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions, including high-altitude tasks.
- Experience in bending and installing rigid conduit.
- Proficient in setting up and pulling wire and cable.
- Skilled in terminating power, control, and instrumentation wiring.
- Experience in installing electrical equipment and devices.
- Ability to install and troubleshoot PLCs and AC/DC drives.
- Knowledge of single and three-phase motors and motor control systems.
- Solid and stable experience in the electrical field.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA safety standards.
- Experience in installing conduits using various bending techniques.
- Understanding and adherence to OSHA and safety regulations.
- Compliance with L.O.T.O policies.
The physical demands outlined are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently, with lifting from knee to shoulder heights.
- Must be capable of carrying and transporting up to 60 pounds over distances of up to 20 feet.
- Requires standing for extended periods, with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping in potentially cold, hot, noisy, and wet environments, which may include exposure to fumes or odors.
