Compensation: $23-24/hr

California's Great America is seeking talented Performers including Singers, Dancers, Actors, and Characters to contribute to our vibrant Fall programming. AUDITION IS REQUIRED.

As a vital member of our entertainment team, you will help create unforgettable experiences for our guests. Your performances will bring various characters and entertainment acts to life, engaging with audiences of all ages while maintaining high energy and enthusiasm.

Available Roles:

  • Oktoberfest Atmosphere Characters - Various roles ($23-$24/HR)
  • Oktoberfest Host - Internal title: Performer 2 ($24/HR)
  • Singer/Dancer - Internal title: Performer 2 ($24/HR)
  • Hosts - Various roles ($23-$24/HR)
  • Tricks n Treats Atmosphere Characters - Internal title: Performer 1 ($23/HR)
  • Planet Snoopy Characters and Performers - Internal title: Show Character ($21/HR)
  • Puppeteer - Internal title: Performer 1 ($23/HR)
  • Attendants - Internal title: Ushers ($18.50/HR)

Audition Information:

All candidates must submit a resume and performance reel if unable to attend auditions in person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in rehearsals and master choreography/character work for assigned performances.
  • Dancers are expected to uphold choreography and show integrity as directed by the Choreographer, Director, and Entertainment Management.
  • Demonstrate and maintain stage presence suitable for specific stylized shows or characters.
  • Engage with guests through photo opportunities and meet-and-greet sessions.
  • Maintain costume appearance and report any repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • May be required to participate in additional media appearances beyond the regular schedule.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your talents to enhance the atmosphere at California's Great America.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve overall entertainment goals set by leadership and show directors.
  • Consistently perform your role as scripted or conceived.
  • Remain in character while on stage and interact with guests in a professional manner.
  • Provide excellent guest service in line with California's Great America's standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety in your work area, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Meet scheduling requirements, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fulfill attendance requirements as outlined in company policies.
  • Adhere to company rules of conduct, including specific costuming and grooming standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Availability to work all assigned rehearsal and event dates, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Willingness to wear makeup and costumes for extended periods.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per company policy.
  • Ability to pass a background check if 18 years or older.
  • Provide records of previous employment, education, and personal references as required.
