The successful candidate will collaborate with survey leadership on land surveying and civil engineering tasks, leveraging their expertise to deliver high-quality services to clients.

About the Role:

As a Senior Land Surveyor Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for consulting with clients, partnering with leadership to provide direction and guidance to the Sarasota survey office, and collaborating with other groups and offices across the Southeast operating unit. You will oversee survey aspects of civil engineering projects, direct preparation of all types of survey plans, train field staff in land surveying procedures, prepare weekly survey crew schedules, coordinate with Sunshine One Call and local utility providers, monitor project schedules, budgets & deliverables, prepare proposals and contracts, manage and coordinate projects with multiple team members, prepare ROW plans and agreements, perform CAD oversight and quality assurance, perform survey computations and data collection, and perform field work associated with land surveying, engineering and construction projects.

Requirements:

  • You must be a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Florida or have the ability to obtain Florida PLS within six months.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in all aspects of land surveying, including project management experience, is required.
  • An AAS or BS Degree in Surveying is preferred.
  • You should have a successful track record of building client relationships in the surveying and related mapping industry.
  • Effective team building skills are essential.
  • Experience with FDOT is strongly preferred.
  • You must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
  • You should be experienced in all aspects of Land Surveying (Land Development a plus).
  • You will be responsible for performing Boundary Surveys & ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys & As-built plans.
  • Data reduction and processing of field files, topographic surveys, etc., is also a key responsibility.
  • Knowledge of Trimble Business Center (GPS processing) and AutoCAD Civil 3D software is a plus.
  • You may be required to work out of town if necessary, so flexibility with work area is essential.
  • You must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license to operate company vehicle.
  • You must pass drug/alcohol screening.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience. This figure is based on national averages and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
