Business Insurance Underwriting Professional

Travelers Insurance is seeking a Business Insurance Underwriting Intern to join our team for a 10-week internship program. As an Underwriting Professional Development Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in commercial insurance underwriting, receive valuable on-the-job training, and learn about the property and casualty insurance industry from industry professionals.
Responsibilities- Complete core assignments and training modules on insurance and underwriting principles.
- Participate in self-paced professional development courses on time management, presentation skills, and other key areas.
- Complete challenging and meaningful project work, including a territorial risk assessment and a business process analysis.
- Learn about other areas at Travelers, such as Risk Control, Claims, and Corporate functions.
- Participate in the Enterprise Internship experience, including Executive Speaker Series, Networking events, and Intern Symposium.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Undergraduate students completing their Junior year.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
