Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Clinical Operations Manager to join our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including scheduling, personnel management, procurement of medications, and sterile and non-sterile compounding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the pharmacy department's operations, including scheduling, personnel management, and procurement of medications.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including TJC, CMS, USP 797, and 800.
  • Manage the staffing, recruitment, discipline, training, and development of direct reports to support pharmacy operations and employee growth.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy, Clinical Operations Manager counterpart, Clinical Pharmacy Manager, and Informatics Pharmacist to develop, implement, and operate departmental projects and services.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers and internal resources to develop, establish, provide, and monitor pharmacy services for direct patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
  • Active District of Columbia pharmacist license.
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced training to obtain skills consistent with an MS, MBA, MPH, or equivalent managerial experience.
  • At least two years of hospital pharmacy practice experience.
  • At least two years of pharmacy supervisory experience.
