About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapist to join our team at SBCS Corporation. As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing trauma-informed therapeutic services to children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Strengths-Based Assessments: Conduct comprehensive, strengths-based assessments with children and their families to identify their unique needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Collaborate with children and their families to develop and implement treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals.
  • Facilitate Therapeutic Groups: Facilitate weekly therapeutic groups in each classroom, utilizing evidence-based curricula such as the Incredible Years Curriculum and Kindness Curriculum for Mindfulness.
  • Provide Individual and Family Therapy: Provide individual and family therapy to children and their families on a regular basis, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
  • Organize and Facilitate Parent and Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings: Organize and facilitate monthly parent group meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Provide Case Management and Crisis Intervention Services: Provide case management and crisis intervention services to clients as needed, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Maintain Accurate Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Related Field: Possess a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, with current registration as a licensed therapist.
  • Experience Working with Children and Families: Have a minimum of two years of experience working with children and families, with a history of domestic violence, child abuse, or other forms of trauma.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Cultural Competence and Sensitivity: Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity, with the ability to work with diverse populations and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients.
