The CareSource Intern plays a crucial role in supporting various projects, initiatives, and activities that cater to the company's needs. This 12-week internship program is designed for college students who aim to gain real-world experience and develop skills essential for their future careers.

  • This opportunity allows interns to work on impactful projects, participate in Journey-to-the-Job seminars with CareSource leaders, and collaborate with assigned mentors and former interns who have successfully transitioned into full-time positions within the company.
  • During the internship, participants will have the chance to test their knowledge, discover their strengths, and build new skills while working alongside a motivated team of professionals.
  • The internship also offers flexibility, with options for on-site, hybrid, and remote work arrangements, allowing interns to experience a new city and culture that aligns with their values.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting evidence-based research on Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) to identify common barriers to completion and effective interventions.
  • Collaborating with key business owners to understand current business processes and procedures.
  • Analyzing internal and external data to track year-over-year performance for key metrics.
  • Performing data analyses to uncover common characteristics of non-compliant populations, including Social Determinants of Health (SDOH).
  • Developing insights and recommendations based on data review and analysis, then presenting findings to business partners and leadership.
  • Determining targeted member interventions and solutions to improve EPSDT performance metrics.

To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited degree program.

CareSource takes into account a combination of factors when determining compensation, including education, training, experience, and job scope. The estimated salary range for this position is $34,500 - $55,100 annually, with hourly compensation reflecting industry standards.
