Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Case Management Supervisor to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the provision of services, demonstrating commitment to our mission, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of registered nurse case managers and social workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.
  • Utilize financial and performance management information to align staff with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Serve as a contact and resolution provider in customer service matters, ensuring a positive experience for patients and families.
  • Facilitate and contribute to leadership meetings within and outside of the case management department, promoting collaboration and effective communication.
  • Provide oversight of the department's onboarding and annual staff performance evaluations, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or other healthcare discipline, or Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
  • 3 years of utilization and/or case management experience with a registered nurse license, or Master of Social Work (MSW).
  • Preferred: 3 years of supervisor or leadership experience in a hospital environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Leadership skills and ability to foster an environment of teamwork, professionalism, customer satisfaction, high performance, and mutual respect.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals.
Work Environment

The incumbent works in a healthcare setting, with potential exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
