Key Responsibilities
  • Assist participants in understanding how working can affect their Social Security and insurance benefits, including eligibility for federal, state, and county programs.
  • Provide detailed explanations of Social Security Administration (SSA) disability benefits and other state benefits, such as Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Childhood Disability Benefits (CDB), and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
  • Assist applicants and participants in obtaining eligibility documents for AbilityOne and RESPECT Florida positions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Rehabilitation, or a related human services field.
  • At least one year of experience in benefits coordination, case management, or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with proficiency in maintaining electronic health records.
  • Computer literacy and excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desirable.
