We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Information Administrator to join our team at the Dixon Correctional Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for managing the overall health information services program for the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the health information services program, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Supervise and participate in the abstracting, analyzing, and interpreting of health information records.
- Provide professional consultation and assistance to medical and clinical staff in evaluating patient care and developing quality improvement initiatives.
- Chair the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee and perform other duties as required.
- Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college and certification by the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
- One (1) year of professional experience in a health information records facility or equivalent experience in a related field.
- At least two (2) years of professional work experience in health information management, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Extensive knowledge of medical, anatomical, psychological, and psychiatric terminology.
- Experience working with federal and state statutes regarding confidentiality and releases of information.
