Objective:

Heffernan Insurance Brokers is seeking a dedicated Assistant Account Manager to support its Commercial Lines division. We are in search of a proactive individual eager to build a career with significant growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the renewal processing workflow as directed by Account Manager(s), including ordering loss runs, updating applications, and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Handle the processing of binders and endorsements.
  • Conduct audits following Account Manager review.
  • Assist with invoicing tasks as assigned.
  • Follow up on claims to ensure timely resolution.
  • Coordinate the issuance and renewal of Certificates of Insurance and Evidence of Insurance.
  • Create and manage mail-merge documents for client communications.
  • Draft proposals for client accounts.
  • Process un-routed attachments and retrieve necessary carrier documents.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to client inquiries.
  • Track and close open activities within the EPIC agency management system.
  • Pursue and secure a Property & Casualty license along with ongoing educational opportunities.
  • Ensure thorough documentation in compliance with E&O procedures.
  • Perform additional duties related to servicing commercial accounts as needed.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred experience of at least 1 year in the insurance sector.
  • Experience in an office setting is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) is required.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and behavior in line with company values.
Compensation:

The salary range for this role is between $50,000 and $60,000, influenced by geographic location, relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. This position may also qualify for an annual discretionary incentive program. Heffernan provides a comprehensive benefits package, details of which are available upon request.
