We are seeking an exceptional Executive Director to lead our organization, A Way Home Washington (AWHWA), in its mission to prevent and end youth and young adult homelessness across Washington State.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a unified strategy for AWHWA, integrating evidence and learnings from our Anchor Communities with policy, advocacy, and programmatic strengths.
- External Partnerships and Fundraising: Foster strong relationships with community partners, philanthropic supporters, and policy champions to advance our ambitious goals and leverage AWHWA's role as convener, advocate, and leader in collective impact.
- Organizational Leadership and Management: Build a cross-team culture centered in equity, transparency, and mutual trust, and strengthen internal communications and collaboration to align staff with future priorities and direction.
- Board Governance: Design and implement effective governance practices, engaging and recruiting new advisory board members to inform the strategic direction and growth of AWHWA.
- Connection to Mission: A combination of lived and professional experience aligned with AWHWA's mission and values, with a deep commitment to equity and a proven ability to apply a racial equity lens.
- Management and Leadership: Proven track record managing comparable budgets and staff, with excellent management skills and experience leading and inspiring change in a diverse, mission-driven environment.
- External Relations and Policy: Strong relationship-building skills, experience supporting policy, advocacy, and external communications efforts, and ability to establish meaningful collaborations with relevant partners, agencies, and communities.
- A competitive salary range of $150,000 - $170,000/yr., commensurate with experience.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including generous PTO, health insurance, and retirement plans.
