About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Preventionist to join our team at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. As an Infection Preventionist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and prevention in our healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures
  • Conduct surveillance and monitoring of infection rates
  • Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control practices
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address infection control issues
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance infection control practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health science field
  • Within 1 year of hire, National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology
  • 1 year of healthcare experience
  • 1 year of epidemiology experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health science field
  • 4 years of healthcare experience
  • 2 years of epidemiology experience
