About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver to join our team at Dakota Supply. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods from our warehouse to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pull material from location to fill each order accurately and efficiently
  • Pack, label, and put filled orders in proper locations for delivery
  • Operate gas and electric forklifts and riders safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and dusting shelves, and sorting and dumping trash in appropriate bins
  • Handle calls for the warehouse and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Use computer and/or RF scanner to check on status, availability, and location of product
  • Notify inventory control about shortages or overages in inventory
  • Load delivery trucks as needed and drive to various customer locations, typically within 125 miles of the branch location
  • Unload materials at customer businesses, jobsites, or warehouses per instruction
  • Stay compliant with DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations, including the completion of training activities as required by Dakota Supply policy and/or regulatory authorities
  • Adhere to Dakota Supply's safety policy and vehicle safety program
  • Maintain a good driving record and assist in receiving as workload permits
Requirements
  • A valid Driver's License
  • Basic product and warehouse or delivery knowledge that would normally be acquired in one to three years of applicable experience
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Safety training on material handling and forklift driving
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills
  • The physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis, and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis
  • Prior computer knowledge, experience, and skills
