About the Role

Zobility is seeking a highly skilled Design Release Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Powertrain Engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and releasing powertrain components for future Performance vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and release powertrain components, including air induction systems, secondary air pumps/brackets, front axle, rear axle, front half shaft, integrated wheel end disconnects, front driveshaft, rear driveshaft, and other powertrain components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including attribute teams, suppliers, and management to ensure parts comply with required specifications and critical decisions are made efficiently.
  • Provide in-person support for testing, prototype builds, and launch builds of upcoming Performance vehicles at assembly plants and test facilities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve design and release processes.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Powertrain component Design and Release.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • 3+ years of experience with powertrain systems engineer, including function, validation, problem solving, etc.
  • Experience with program management tools, such as Microsoft Project, and technical documentation tools, such as Teamcenter and CATIA.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with PD systems and processes, including WERS, FEDEBOM, FEDEDVP, GPDS, AIMS, and Teamcenter.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software, such as FMA, FEDEDVP, FEDEBOM, SWT, AIMS, WERS, and other relevant tools and processes.
