The Senior Structural Engineer will spearhead structural design teams, delivering exceptional designs for a variety of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, and government buildings. This role involves guiding the project team through all phases of design and construction, ensuring that structural plans align with budgetary and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct structural design initiatives from conceptualization to completion, addressing project specifications as outlined by project managers.
  • Develop and review structural specifications, technical bid summaries, and equipment data sheets.
  • Collaborate with vendors and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of design elements.
  • Contribute to project scheduling, budgeting, and staffing, while managing change orders effectively.
  • Utilize expert knowledge of structural engineering practices, codes, and standards to navigate complex projects.
  • Conduct quality reviews of production drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Oversee construction administration, coordinating with field personnel to resolve installation challenges.
  • Lead field inspections and technical evaluations for both public and private sector clients.
  • Prepare and present detailed technical reports for clients and industry publications.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and contractors, identifying new business opportunities while ensuring satisfaction.
  • Engage in sales and marketing initiatives, targeting key projects and pursuits.
  • Guide the development of cost proposals and project budgets, monitoring financial performance.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior engineers, promoting professional growth within the team.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Maintain effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and uphold safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, complying with all company policies and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program, with a minimum of 7 years of structural engineering experience. EPC project experience is preferred.
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience is also acceptable.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural design codes and engineering practices.
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale projects and manage team dynamics effectively.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills to address complex engineering challenges.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred.
