Position Summary:

The Claim Review Specialist plays a crucial role in analyzing and identifying cases where payments have been made by both health and liability insurance. This position involves seeking reimbursement from medical providers for any overpayments identified.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine payout ledgers from first-party insurance or workers' compensation carriers to audit claims and identify potential overpayments.
  • Investigate and validate overpayments made to healthcare providers.
  • Request refunds from medical providers who have received excess payments from health plans.
  • Assess recoveries already obtained by clients and confirm the reasons for those reimbursements.
  • Collaborate with various departments within Intellivo as needed.
  • Engage with Worker's Compensation Adjusters to confirm claim eligibility.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in medical billing, insurance recovery, or workers' compensation.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive understanding of claims processing and coordination of benefits.

  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
