We are seeking an experienced HCC Coder to join our team at T.H.E. Health and Wellness Centers in South Los Angeles.
Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
About the Role:This is a full-time position responsible for coding diagnoses in ICD-10 for Medicare Risk Adjustments/Medicare Advantage, conducting audits of medical records, and evaluating medical information documentation.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in multi-specialty coding, outpatient/clinic billing, and physician billing office supervisory experience.
- Certified in CPC or CCS
- Knowledgeable in Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC) concepts and documentation guidelines
- Familiarity with MACRA reporting
Responsibilities:
- Code diagnoses in ICD-10 for Medicare Risk Adjustments/Medicare Advantage
- Conduct necessary audits of medical records to verify physicians' documentation
- Evaluate medical information documentation from a clinical standpoint for evidence of additional medical conditions
- Recommend processes for accurate coding practices
- Communicate quality issues to direct supervisor & COO, Team Leaders, and other Managers
- Prepare management summary reports of audit findings
