Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Specialist to join our sales floor team at Floor & Decor Holdings, Inc. As a Retail Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, and contributing to the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Connect with customers, ask about their projects, and recommend our products to exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide above-and-beyond customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring a clean, shoppable, and safe environment for customers.
  • Work collaboratively with management and team members to achieve sales goals and promote a positive store culture.
  • Process customer transactions, handle returns and exchanges, and follow established cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures.
  • Create price tags, merchandise signs, and stock, tag, and display merchandise to maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Act in accordance with the company's core values, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction, teamwork, and operational excellence.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, sales promotions, and company initiatives to provide informed and engaging customer interactions.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills and customer service experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Some positions may require completion of forklift certifications through F&D.
Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
