Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a sanitation program that meets or exceeds regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead a team of sanitation professionals in the development and implementation of sanitation schedules, standard operating procedures (SSOPs), and other sanitation-related initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and maintenance, to ensure that all new equipment installations meet sanitary design requirements.
  • Conduct regular sanitation audits and provide training to employees on sanitation procedures and protocols.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve sanitation efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, SSOP, SDS, FDA/FSMA sanitation preventive controls.
  • Lead and participate in divisional network teams to advance sanitation best practices.
Leadership and Management Responsibilities

The Senior Sanitation Manager will lead a team of 1 Sanitation Manager, up to 3 supervisors, and 30 hourly associates. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop employees, communicate effectively, and make strategic decisions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field from an accredited university. A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in a food manufacturing environment with sanitation management or supervisory experience is required.

The candidate should possess strong knowledge of sanitation principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. They should also have excellent leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop employees, communicate effectively, and make strategic decisions.
