Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Estimator to become a vital part of our team at Omni Glass & Paint, a leading contractor in the glass and paint industry. The Estimator will play a crucial role in assessing specifications and drawings for commercial glass projects, collaborating closely with subcontractors and Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications and documentation to generate accurate estimates.
- Calculate cost factors and prepare estimates for management review.
- Conduct takeoffs from architectural blueprints.
- Participate in pre-bid walk-throughs and meetings.
- Engage with stakeholders to formulate and convey estimates effectively.
- Discuss modifications to cost estimates with relevant parties.
- Follow up with clients and contractors as necessary.
- Relay project details to Project Managers and site foremen.
- Represent the organization in industry associations.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Proficient in reading architectural blueprints and specifications.
- Strong mathematical and algebraic skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly.
