We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal, Healthcare Mechanical Engineering to lead our healthcare mechanical engineering practice in the Phoenix area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing and executing strategic plans, and providing technical leadership to our engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development/Marketing
- Develop and execute strategic business and marketing plans for the healthcare mechanical engineering practice in Arizona.
- Interface regularly with architectural, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering leaders in US West and across North America.
- Sustain and grow top-line revenue, helping to achieve growth objectives in the Phoenix and US West areas.
- People and Practice Management
- Hire and lead a team of engineering project managers, designers, and CAD/Revit production team members.
- Identify and forecast staff needs and assignments based on current and projected workload and SME requirements.
- Project Design and Delivery
- Work with project managers and subject matter experts on key projects to develop and deliver client drawings, specifications, presentations, reports, and other deliverables.
- Successfully manage projects of significant scope, complexity, and revenue budget.
- Technical Leadership
- Maintain awareness of operational, technical, or regulatory changes within mechanical engineering and the AEC industry overall.
- Assist in maintaining and updating healthcare engineering specifications, technical documentation, and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 15 or more years of related professional experience.
- Professional Engineering license required.
- Project Management Professional certification a plus.
- LEED AP Credential preferred.
- ASHRAE Healthcare Facility Design Professional (HFDP) certification or similar specific to engineering discipline.
