Job Overview

Principal Service Solutions is seeking a skilled Semiconductor Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical workforce, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the quality of operations at high-tech companies.

This is a long-term, full-time position with full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays. The pay rate is $27/hr.

We are looking for detail-oriented individuals with technical and mechanical experience/aptness and a strong work ethic. Must be open to 50% travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Maintain records and reports as required
  • Coordinate activities with peers, supervisor(s), and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
  • Order and install parts
  • Respond to emergency service calls as required
  • Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
  • Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
  • Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and security of company property, including vehicles, tools, etc.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology preferred
  • 2+ years of previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment required
  • Experience in Dry Etch, Clean Room, Lithography, Thin Fills, Implant
  • Excellent customer interface skills required
  • Mechanical aptitude required, as well as an ability to use appropriate tools
  • Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures required
  • Must be open to 50% travel - domestic
Physical Requirements
  • Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions, and/or in high places
  • Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds required
  • May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing
  • May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous elements or conditions, such as chemicals, electric currents, or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
  • Occasional overnight travel to factory, training facilities, and customer locations may be required.
