Education and Child Development Specialist

Wonder Kids Academy is seeking a skilled Child Care Teacher to provide a nurturing environment for children's intellectual and developmental growth. As a vital member of our team, you will design and implement engaging activities, promote learning, and foster a love for education.

Responsibilities
- Create and follow a comprehensive schedule of activities and educational programs tailored to the needs and interests of our students.
- Provide basic care and support services, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of each child.
- Cultivate a love for learning by using a variety of teaching methods, including storytelling, media, indoor and outdoor games, and art projects.
- Evaluate student performance to identify areas of strength and improvement, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain open communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Monitor and facilitate positive interactions among children, promoting social skills and conflict resolution.
- Identify and address behavioral problems in a proactive and compassionate manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve overall program quality.
- Ensure compliance with established teaching standards and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Complete Entry Level Child Care Training (ELCCT) after hire.
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrate patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Possess strong communication and time management skills.
- Previous child care experience preferred but not required.
