Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Cybersecurity

  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to address identified vulnerabilities and reduce the overall risk profile.
  • Develop, update, and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices across all organizational units.
  • Design and deliver cybersecurity awareness training programs to educate staff on security best practices, threat recognition, and incident reporting. Conduct regular phishing simulations and other security drills to enhance the organization's overall security posture.
  • Develop, maintain, and test incident response plans to ensure the organization is prepared to handle security incidents effectively.
  • Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti-virus software, and encryption solutions.
Managerial Responsibilities
  • Coach the IT team to deliver top-notch customer service by setting clear expectations, defining reporting lines and timelines, setting performance objectives, providing regular and constructive feedback, and guiding professional growth.
  • Build and strengthen internal IT teams to enhance IT services across the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least ten years of experience managing IT operations.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Proven track record in IT infrastructure strategic planning, project management, and policy development.
  • Strong leadership and management skills to lead a team of IT professionals and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of current network and client operating systems, cloud and on-prem infrastructure, hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Extensive experience in managing and/or directing IT operations.
  • Understanding of performance monitoring and optimization techniques to ensure the reliability and efficiency of IT systems.
  • Ability to present ideas in organization-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, diverse, collaborative environment.
  • Understanding of working with staff in high-risk security contexts.
  • Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management, and prioritization.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector.
