Role Overview:
Technology Leadership: We are seeking an individual to spearhead the managed cloud services platform, designing a robust multi-tenant hybrid multi-cloud environment that addresses both current and future business needs. Collaborate with product management to gain a comprehensive understanding of customer cloud requirements and formulate a strategic vision for the cloud platform's evolution. Exhibit technological leadership by constructing a platform grounded in extensive research, assessing various options, weighing their advantages and disadvantages, and making informed decisions.
Cloud Best Practices: Establish, implement, and oversee the adherence to best practices in cloud computing to guarantee optimal performance and security across the platform.
Security Compliance: Ensure alignment with industry security regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, SOC2, and ISO 27001, collaborating closely with the security team to safeguard cloud privacy.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 12 years of expertise across multiple disciplines, including technical architecture, application development, cloud technologies, and middleware. Experience in constructing hybrid cloud solutions utilizing OpenStack or similar private cloud technologies alongside public cloud providers is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong background in cloud service architecture, security protocols, networking, containerization, and comprehensive service development. Familiarity with scalability and reliability principles, cloud computing design patterns, and industry-standard security practices is essential.
- Cloud Services Development: Demonstrated capability to design, guide, and manage top-tier API-driven cloud solutions, with active involvement in complex development tasks. Ability to independently create end-to-end cloud services from inception.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet, along with scripting and automation skills in Python or similar languages.
- Containerization Expertise: Proficient in virtualization and container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications are required.
