- Document and record every aspect of an application or software to ensure that knowledge is shared and retained within the team.
- Mentor and oversee the activities of the members of the development team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Address complex technical issues and troubleshoot problems to implement effective solutions that meet the needs of our customers and business stakeholders.
- Develop good working relationships with other employees, such as Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Programmers, and Engineers, to ensure that we are working together effectively to achieve our goals.
- Broad understanding of coding and programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, and SQL/NOSQL databases.
- Experience with database design and data modeling to ensure that our software solutions are scalable and meet the required quality standards.
- Excellent understanding of design patterns, principles, and architectural styles to ensure that our software solutions are maintainable and scalable.
- Proficient knowledge of the operation and development designs of agile software to ensure that we are working efficiently and effectively.
- Expertise with content management systems and CI/CD to ensure that our software solutions are deployed and maintained efficiently and effectively.
- Strong soft skills, including attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills to ensure that we are working effectively as a team.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 5+ years of industry experience.
- At least 5 years of experience developing software in an agile team environment.
- Expert level knowledge and understanding of Java, JavaScript Technologies, SQL/NOSQL Databases, Distributed Caching, REST web services, Container Technologies, and message processing platforms.
- Demonstrated experience creating scalable backend services that support critical application functions.
- Experience in Design, Development, Coding, Testing, and Releasing to QA.
- Experience with monitoring app performance, stability, and using observability tools to optimize the application performance.
- Experience using cloud service providers such as Azure and GCP for application deployment and monitoring.
- Ability to Improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews.
- A strong foundation of software design - know-how to create software that's extensible, reusable, and meets desired architectural objectives.
